Qatari, Saudi Arabian ministers to meet at Russian industrial expo

MOSCOW, Jun 13 (PRIME) -- Ministers in charge of oil and industry of some Persian Gulf states, including Qatar and Saudi Arabia, will meet during an international industrial exhibition in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg on July 10–13, a representative of organizers of the exhibition told PRIME on Tuesday.

The ministers are to meet during a meeting of Russia’s Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov with the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.

Other attendees include Qatari Energy and Industry Minister Mohammed Saleh Abdulla Al Sada, Bahrain’s Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister Zayed bin Rashid Alzayani, Kuwaiti Commerce and Industry Minister Khaled Nasser Abdullah Al-Roudan, UAE Economy Minister Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Oman’s Commerce and Industry Minister Ali bin Masoud bin Ali al Sunaidy, Saudi Arabian Commerce and Investment Minister Majed Abdullah Al-Kassabi, and the council’s Secretary General Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani.

All ministers have confirmed their participation, the representative said.

On June 5, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt declared a break in diplomatic relations with Qatar, accusing Doha of supporting terrorist organizations. Maldives, Mauritius and Mauritania later said they broke relations with Doha as well.
